Fielding clinics - new time!
Los Alamitos High School softball coach Rob Weil is now making his Monday fielding clinic available to all LAGSL players from 4:00-5:00 p.m. at Los Alamitos High School to accommodate your daughter's school schedule.
The feedback from players who have attended in past weeks has been tremendous.
The cost is $15 per Monday session and you can sign up upon arrival.

Rob will be holding a Coaching Clinic on December 6th with more details to follow. Mark your calendars now!

Early-bird Registration is now Open!
Registration for the Los Alamitos Girls Softball League 2010 Spring Season is now open and is being accepted online. If you have previously registered for LAGSL through our online server, you may use the same user name and password to log-on and register again.
Early-bird registration will be available only through Thursday, November 12, 2009. In order to receive the early-bird discount, you must register online. You may, however, make payment either online by credit card or by mail-in check. In order to receive the early-bird discount, payment must be received by LAGSL, or postmarked, no later than November 12, 2009. No exceptions!
After the conclusion of the early-bird period, regular registration will continue through Saturday, December 12, 2009. During this period you may continue to use the online process, or you may register your daughter at one of two walk-up registration sessions. Walk-up registration will take place at Rossmoor Park from 9am-12noon on Saturday, December 5 and Saturday, December, 12. All walk-ups must be paid-in-full at the time of registration. Please be aware that payments received after December 12, 2009 will be subject to a $40 late charge. (Exception: High-school age 14U players who choose to play LAGSL after high-school team selection has been finalized will not be assessed the $40 late charge.)
LAGSL follows the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) rules and guidelines; a player's age on December 31, 2009 determines in what age group she will play. If you are a new player to LAGSL, please submit a photocopy of your daughter's birth certificate, either via postal mail or as a scan sent via email to playeragent@lagsl.org . You may determine the division in which your daughter will play, as well as the required registration fees, by using the following schedule:

Please be aware that the above prices are for registration only, and do not include your $40 snack shack deposit (6U excluded) or fundraising fees of $30 (buy-out) or $50 (candy sale). Requests for refund of registration fees will be honored in full through December 12. After December 12, a $40 refund fee will be imposed. No refunds will be issued after Player Evaluation Day on January 9.
All girls playing in the Spring 2010 season, including returning players, will be expected to attend LAGSL's Player Evaluation Day on Saturday, January 9 at Rossmoor Park (weather permitting) - times to be determined.
Please be reminded that enrollment is limited and will be on a first come, first served basis. Registration is not considered complete until payment is received by LAGSL. LAGSL will do its best to ensure that all teams in each division are balanced. Subsequently, a waiting list might be necessary. Priority will be given in order of completed registrations. To ensure your child's place, please do not wait until the last day!
LAGSL will do its best to honor special requests made during registration, however no guarantees can be made. All special requests must be received by the Player Agent no later than January 9 - Player Evaluation Day. Special requests made after Player Evaluation Day will not be considered. All teams, as drafted on draft day, are final.

Los Alamitos High School softball coach Rob Weil invites all LAGSL players to participate in weekly fielding clinics each Monday from 4-5 p.m. at the LAHS softball field. The one-hour clinics, which cost $15 per girl per week, will include drills in fielding, positioning, throwing and more. Call 714-468-2361 for more information or to sign your daughter up.
